There's no arguing that an Andy Reid team cares at all about it. Yesterday was definitive proof that the only reason Hunt was released is because he lied.
The Chiefs are probably going to get scorched over these events. When you look back at recent history (Belcher, Hill*2, Hunt, Clark), it certainly doesn't paint the best of pictures. [Reply]

And it will occur again.
It wouldn't have much impact on a rich NFL player, but if society offered every single person in America, male and female, $1,000 on their 15th birthday to get a five-year contraceptive patch or whatever, I'm convinced that society and the population would be better off. [Reply]

It's going to get buried in all the draft news and by the time a result comes from Rog's investigation, the season will be getting close. I don't think the Chiefs are going to get much heat. [Reply]
I’m glad to see the times have changed for Clark Hunt. Before we used toonly draft andget players who were good character and captains of their teams. Now we don’t care if you beat women up and anyone else. As long as you can play we welcome you! Clark wants that trophy!! [Reply]

Yeah, Kraft was involved in prostitution and human trafficking by going. At worst there needs to a loss of 100 million, multiple 1st round picks taken. At worst force him to sell the franchise.
If the NFL is actually concerned about image. [Reply]

That's the problem. When the issues come up they CAN'T play. Because they're suspended/traded/released. [Reply]

Then, of course, there's the sad reality that no NFL team is immune to or has entirely escaped issues such as these.
It seems a bit unfair to declare the Chiefs as some sort of refuge for ne'er-do-wells, bad actors, and career criminals without mentioning that, from an NFL perspective, these problems are systemic.

It will, because he hasn’t changed the situation.
Even if you think Hill is completely innocent and this is a crazy woman situation, he’s staying with her and having more kids with her. Even though she’s calling the cops on him and his kids are getting abused by someone under his roof. WTF would stay in that situation with all the trouble she’s causing him and harm coming to his kids? That makes no sense.
What probably happened was like the Adrian Peterson situation, they just don’t have enough to pin it on Hill directly. That truthfully is probably what really happened.
Even with Ray Rice, the woman he knocked out cold came out on his side trying to keep the gravy train running for both of them. [Reply]

FAX
Immune/entirely escaped is not the same as having four players with five incidents, four of which have been highly publicized. [Reply]

I can't dispute any of that, but Damien doesn't have any idea what Tyreek's next contract truly means, does he? I mean, maybe they promised him a pony and a brand-new shotgun or something if he kept his mouth shut, but would the kid really protect Tyreek due to greed? Doesn't CPS and the Popo have specialists that can breach a child's effort to protect his/her abuser? If they don't, they should have ...
Maybe Damien comprehends the significance of 20MM and is therefore unwilling to collapse under interrogation ... a little difficult for me to grok, though.

I have always said I’d take talented assholes over mediocre nice guys.
I only care about winning at the professional level. [Reply]
