#stlcards get the win, but beneath the walk-off euphoria is heightened concern about the severity of Yadier Molina’s alarming injury. “It’s bad,” says a teammate. Carson Kelly ready to join majors. And more injury details here: https://t.co/aoHHzB76lX
Yadier Molina’s injury led to an undisclosed surgery late last night, and John Mozeliak confirms to @OrtizKicks that the catcher will miss a month. Breaking news from Ortiz here. #stlcardshttps://t.co/bFWiAUrsZR
Who is this guy? Does he know people, trustworthy in the past? And WTF was Yadi doing catching without a cup? 102 mph fastball to the nuts is going to hurt like a mother but your not going to miss a month or a season.
Just got confirmation Yadier Molina Could be out for the remainder of this season #STLCards#PrayForYadi

If they don’t have that blue check mark by their Twitter handle, they’re full of shit. [Reply]
Sounds to be about a month which isn’t devastating. I just feel bad for Yadi, I’ve been hit in the nuts hard before and that was the worst pain ever. Can’t imagine a 102 mph fastball.
I’m curious about Pham’s injury though. Hope he isn’t out to long. [Reply]
He had a cup....but 102 mph to it would be like getting hit with a sledgehammer there, and that is doing damage regardless. I'm guessing he had direct damage where the cup was against him, and concussive damage that spread around there. His stayed intact, there is a kid in college I heard about where the cup broke on a hit to it like that and turned into shrapnel.
