What Restaurants did you grow up around? I'm not talking super fancy and yes fast-food counts. What distinctive memories do you associate with them?
Mine?
Taco Via-(the lit up menu of the various taco plates displayed on the wall), WhiteCastle-On a paper plate with fries and Pepsi, Arthur Treachers(off Noland), Tippins(off Noland), Perkins(the free toy well), Country Deli(awesome local deli to Blue Springs heated sandwiches on Sourdough buns), Zarda BBQ and Dairy, FunHouse Pizza(of Course)(Dark. Video- Games,Electonic Riding Bull and 25-cent Taco night) Annes Sante Fe.
Keep in mind I never see these anymore living in Georgia. [Reply]

Annies Santa Fe was awesome at Bannister Mall. We would get food and beer then head for sluts at Jeremiah Tittles at 87th and 435 or that place with the indoor slide on 95 cant remember the name anymore. I remember short skirts and splitty tale dresses back then . Eyeful of panty and occationally none:-)
I don't remember either place but JTittles rings a dull bell for some reason. As I recall I was married and think we ate there but that area wasn't very safe after 9 PM back then. Bar with a slide??? [Reply]

The original Ray actually made the donuts. When he got older he sold franchises I guess. Some were called Rays and some Lamars none matched the warm buttery goodness of the Linwood location. Our old KC location where I worked was between 29 and 30 main near Trinity Lutheran Hosp a hop skip and jump and we got to know Ray pretty well. [Reply]

That was such a fun place to work, their little bar at the one in Springfield, Il always had much more of real bar feel to it than you usually find in restaurants... people would cut loose in there all the time
Trivia I didnt know until recently - Chi-Chis was started and co-owned by Max McGee, the legendary Packers tight end [Reply]
