Chiefs likely will have running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire but be without Le'Veon Bell for today’s AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills, per source.
Additionally, the Chiefs will test WR Sammy Watkins pregame, but don’t sound optimistic he will play today.
love seeing the fatsos on twitter typing that Sammy is just being a wuss with their cheeto-dust covered fingers.
claiming he only cares about money and is sitting out as some sort of a business decision is even stupider, like he couldn't make a lot more for himself by getting out and contributing in a key game. [Reply]
The only positive that comes from this...the bonus he would have gotten won’t come off our cap rollover to next year (which is currently only 5.1m) [Reply]
I think that bonus would probably be categorized as “likely to be earned” because he has played in the playoffs the last couple years, so it probably counted towards our cap which hopefully means the bonus will add to our rollover...at least it won’t deduct from it. The worst that could happen would be he plays just enough to get the bonus but is hobbled so is ineffective.
That would be wasted resources we will need next year. [Reply]
