Nzoner's Game Room>Ten Things About Last Night’s Game: Week 14 Kansas City 23, Cheatriots 16
gblowfish 08:16 AM 12-09-2019
10. I’m gonna have to give you the speed metal version of the Top Ten this morning. I’m writing this from the 20th floor of a hotel room overlooking a foggy, whiny city of Boston. Mrs. B and I were amazingly fortunate and were able to take a last minute vacation three day weekend in Boston, and got to go to the game. So I was there. When I get back to Glorious Independnece, MO tonight to the Stately Wayne Minor Batcave, I’ll be able to post more details about everything. For now I’ll just give you some quick impressions and thoughts. For my first impression, here’s one of the Patriot fans sitting near us: “Ehhhh F*uck Paaatrick Maaahomes. He’s a poseur.
Braaaaaaady.....Braaaady.....(repeat until speechless after losing).

9. Gillette Stadium makes me appreciate Arrowhead. It’s out in the middle of freakin’ nowhere, traffic in is a bitch and the stadium sits next to like a mall with a movie theater and the Cheating Hall of Fame. The security is super lax compared to Arrowhead. They didn’t check us over hardly at all. The lower bowl looks like a college stadium, like Faurot Field at Mizzou, where you walk under the bleachers for the concessions and bathrooms. It was dingy and not nearly as nice as our crib. The upper deck is incredibly steep and high up and I’m sure on a cold and windy day it's murder up there. We were sitting low, so the wind wasn’t that big of a deal. I’ll post some pictures later.

8. I was listening to the local Pats radio broadcast in my little pocket radio during the game. No Mitch and TOUCHDOWN....KANSAS CITY. The Pats color guy (Scott Zolak: https://985thesportshub.com/patriots...cast-team/)was an obnoxious asshole. In the second quarter he started bagging on The White Hat Jerome Boger about his poor officiating. This is way before the controversial calls in the fourth quarter. He said Boger had it out for the Pats, and should fear for his safety if he didn’t straighten up. He was bagging on their first round pick receiver Harry -Where’s 15? Is he on a milk carton somewhere? Then he started in on everyone but Brady -Where’s Edelman? Where’s Michele? Is Tom the only guy who decided to play today? Then I thought he was going to stroke out in the fourth quarter. But that’s another story.

7. Gillette Stadium has artificial turf. The front row to the field is much farther away than at Arrowhead. They have like a baseball warning track that goes around. I was in the 3rd row behind the Chiefs bench, and was probably 30 yards away from the bench. Oh, the Pats cheerleaders had a couple of flamboyant guys who dressed just like the chicks. NTTAWWT..... It was interesting that the Chiefs set up their sideline exactly like Arrowhead, and the players sat in their same positions as they would on the Arrowhead benches.

6. I’m still not sure how PMII hurt his hand, and haven’t seen any news about how bad the injury may be. Midnight Hour got up and warmed up a little, but Pat never came out. The Boston radio guy kept saying “Yeah, we’re slapping Mahomes around pretty good out there. He’s gonna be all worn out by the fourth quaaaater.” He don’t know us very well....do he? Pat is tough as Hell and is a gamer.

5. Yes, the Pats got screwed on a couple calls. Refs had a pretty bad day. That hit that Hightower put on Patrick going out of bounds...If that’s Brady the defender gets ejected. And it’s just crybaby shit to say the refs cost you a game when the Chiefs had 115 more yards in penalties than the Pats. Who got the greater amount of help from the refs? Numbers don’t lie.

4. Buttkicker was money again this week. Kicking conditions were decent, there wasn’t a lot of wind, but it was cold. Not as cold as last week against the Raiders, but cold. I’m not sure what happened on the blocked punt, haven’t seen the replay on that, but looked like a dude came right up the middle. Must have been a blown assignment.

3. The Kelce fumble was a head scratcher. He caught the ball, then doubled back for some reason -losing the first down yardage- then got the ball poked out on the way down. He should have just taken the first down then fell down. Hopefully he’ll learn a lesson from this. Kelce used to be fumble prone in past years, hope this doesn’t come back to bite him down the stretch.

2. The fans here have such a sense of entitlement. They just couldn’t process the loss, and how they lost. Yeah, they got some bad calls, but they had the ball with a chance to tie or win in the last minute and couldn’t get it done. Hell, we got screwed in the Tennessee Playoff Game when Derrick Johnson strip sacked Mariota and it got overturned. That call cost us a playoff game. So cry me a river, Pats fans. If you’re at home and complain about the refs, that’s just a crying shame. Suck it up. This is just a regular season game. Seems like when they’re not playing AFC East cupcakes, they have a hard time competing.

1. So I believe this win clinched the AFC west. This win was very satisfying, but we still owe them a boot out of the playoffs and a denial of a trip to the Super Bowl. Then we’ll be even. I’ll post more when I get home. Gotta go catch a plane in a couple hours.

Here is the proper protocol.

1. Kick your shoe off. Obviously you can’t untie it or remove it properly. Kick it off.

2. Find a way to kick it to the aisle and retrieve said shoe.

3. Quietly, so as to not disturb other patrons, remove the shoelace

4. Wrap it around his neck and choke a bitch.

Boston is a great city once you get rid of all the Patriots fans

6. I’m still not sure how PMII hurt his hand, and haven’t seen any news about how bad the injury may be. Pat is tough as Hell and is a gamer.
I'm sure you've seen the replay by now but he put his hand out to brace a fall and landed on it awkward. The shitty hard field didn't help matters but yeah he's a tough SOB.

First time I can ever remember in 25 years or more that the Patriots got some screw jobs by the refs, mostly in error and because Belichick ran out of challenges. Challenging the spot early on was dumb by him.
We also got screwed at least 3 times as well and racked up a ton of penalties, more than I realized

The Patriot rusher could have just grabbed it off Colquitt's foot he was in that quick. Colquitt was stupid for even punting it as it wasn't even close to being able to be kicked.
Andy Reid said it was a fake and someone screwed the pooch. Maybe Colquitt?

3. The Kelce fumble was a head scratcher. He caught the ball, then doubled back for some reason -losing the first down yardage- then got the ball poked out on the way down. He should have just taken the first down then fell down.
Can't blame Kelce a ton on that as he always goes for more yards after catch and its why we have so many 3rd down conversions. Him running backwards 2-3 yards was a little poor in judgement but the poke of the ball by McCourty was an incredible play to have the mindset as your falling and tackling to stick his hand in there and knock it away. Just a great defensive play by a great All Pro. I really like McCourty as a fan of all Rutgers player who turned pro, it just sucks he's a Patriot. Bill B loves his Rutgers guys. (BTW Greg Schiano is back as Rutgers head coach.)

2. The fans here have such a sense of entitlement.
This is UNDERSTATEMENT of the year! :-)

AMEN TO THIS!!! :-):-)

I was so nervous before this game I didn't drink or eat for 3 quarters while we were all at the sports bar together.

I had that awful "Because Chiefs" feeling when they started to climb back in it and I am not sure how I would have reacted if once again, Brady threw a TD on 4th and 3 to beat us with about a minute left. I might have stuck the knife I was using to cut my pork chops into my chest. It would have been a bad night for me.

We have to get healthier and keep making this defense better.

Not sure where we go in the playoff seeding but if we can't improve our rankings in the next few games, I think sitting some people to rest and get healthy would be a good idea.

I hope Boston treated you well aside from their asshole spoiled fans and that nice 20th floor hotel room saw a little Blowfish on Blowfish action! :-)

Thanks for doing the remote writeup and have fun in Arrowhead on Sunday!

GO CHIEFS!!! :-)

I hope everyone gets a chance to watch Mitch n Shawn Barbers recap on Chiefs.com... great locker room interviews with Breeland and others, plus all the relevant pressers

The positive vibes are ionizing the very air around this team

Here's a few more pics from the trip. First, view from the hotel room sunrise Friday AM. View once the sun comes up. Prudential Center was the closest subway stop. They don't call it the MTA anymore, they call it the "T" and a subway pass is a "Charlie Card." This hotel had everything. In the honor bar they had two canisters. The one in red is condoms and lube. The green canister is hangover remedy. Didn't put these into play, didn't want to know how much they would cost on the hotel bill!

Here's a few from Gillette Stadium. One of the end zones. We're not sure what the tower is supposed to be for. It has no real function. It might be a monument to Gillette roll on deodorant. National Anthem, Chiefs Sideline, View from our seats.

About 10am on Friday. I think we missed a train by about a minute, so that's why the stop was temporarily empty.

One last pic. This is the last one I took on the trip. This is the flight home. JoCo Douchebag who pushed his seat back into my lap 30 seconds into the flight, before the plane was even airborne. That's my knee at the bottom of the picture. Asshole. I hope he has dengue fever and dies.

That tower is an eavesdropping spy satellite/electronics jammer

Just bc assholes designed the plane in a shitty way that allows douchebags to put their seats into your lap/knees doesn't mean you should be a douchebag who puts his seat all the way back into someone's lap/knees.

T's always a ghost town except for rush hour... crappy transportation in Boston for within the city.
