Contrary to a previous post, we Ravens fans are not “terrified” of playing the Chiefs. What we ARE is realistic enough to see both sides of the coin, and recognize that Mahomes is an extraordinary talent who will, most likely, burn the Ravens D on more than one occasion. We are not overly impressed with the KC running game, and T.Hill being out is a W for Baltimore.
Kelce & Watkins and a developing Robinson and Hardman mitigate Hill’s absence to a point, but he will certainly be missed.
There seems to be a dismissive, uninformed thought process on this board regarding Lamar Jackson. Understand that this is NOT the same player y’all saw last year. True, games against MIA & AZ may not be the test that KC will be, but I ask you: do you believe that a) KC has the D to shut down Jackson’s running? And b) if that is the chosen route, do you really believe the KC D can control M. Andrews and M. Brown? [Reply]

Dude you played shit teams. Needed 60 minutes to beat a god awful cardinals team. Remember the ravens have played the teams picking 1 and 2 in next years draft. Murray lit you up 35 year old WR running wide open vs your D. If you think you guys are legit so be it gonna be a rude awakening come sunday [Reply]
IF you are at the home opener and you leave with a voice...go back to the empty stadium and yell some more...crap, I yell so loud at the damn tv that my wife says they might hear me at arrowhead...and I'm in West Virginia! [Reply]

I dunno man. The Giants MIGHT be worse than the Cards.
They did just get curbstomped by the ****ing Bills, who might be the least intimidating 2-0 team ever. [Reply]

Is the Plan for Lamar Jackson to run for 100 yards a game every week? I would say that is not very sustainable. I am concerned we now have bigger, more physical but slower edge players so Jackson could bust a few.
Things is nobody knows how good or bad this Chiefs Defense is or how much improved Jackson is, Sunday should go a long ways to telling us. [Reply]

I'm not gonna get worked up that Jackson played well against 2 of the worst teams in football, and if he continues to run like that, he will get hurt. [Reply]
This will be the first real test on how well he has improved in reading a defensive pass rush. I thought they confused him last year more than anyone. [Reply]
I fully expect a shoot out. Like a 51-50 type of shoot out that the Chiefs win.
Jackson is going to get his yards one way or another. If he has an easy time running then I expect him to have some deep bombs on the Chiefs secondary. Ingram probably has a good game all around. I don't see Mahomes having any trouble finding an open man. I'm just hoping the game doesn't come down to our running game. [Reply]
Jackson isn't supposed to run for 100 yards a game under the Ravens' offensive scheme. Against Miami, he ran only a few times. He runs when he has to or, in certain instances when a weakness presents itself. However,I too worry about his getting hurt, and I don't WANT him running 100 yards a game! Neither does Harbaugh.
The Cardinals aren't picking any 1 or 2 next draft as was suggested earlier, not with that kid at quarterback. Therefore, I hope that 300 yards they got through the air yesterday was primarily because the kid's that good, and not because our pass rush was that bad. If our rush is that bad, Mahomes will throw for about 600.That's our biggest concern. It s/b noted that bad coverage caused a couple of their big completions yesterday, not pass rush.
We may have lost some defense from last year, although that isn't certain because of the Ravens' depth. Az. scored only 17 points. But our offense is a helluva lot better because of our draft-Hollywood Brown being the most notable. And your defense is no great shakes. We're gonna score. And if we can stifle your running game and concentrate on Mahomes, we can slow you down somewhat.
In any event, I think this w/b a high-scoring game. The winner w/need 30-35 points. [Reply]
