I thought it might be worse because of the Burfict thing, but Burfict got 12 games because he has a long (12 years?), and well-documented history of dirty hits.
Garrett has no such history. 8 games sounds about right. He might even get less if they take into account Rudolph not only trying to pull Garret's helmet off, but also kicking Garrett in the groin before the helmet swinging bit.
Wait did you really just say Garrett has no history? Dude has been on a suh level of roid rage all season long. He's out of control and it's not his first time.
He seems behaved off the field. But not like burfict was getting in much trouble off the field... While in the NFL at least. [Reply]
Rudolph definitely contributed, but I don't see anything worth a suspension. Garrett's hit was not late, but he definitely hung on late and unnecessarily.
Garrett will miss the rest of this season and some of next. [Reply]

People yank on helmets all the time with no suspension. [Reply]

What I enjoyed most was the Steelers losing, I always enjoy them as much or more than the Yankees losing and then the Browns will now lose their best defensive player for a few games. That's what I call best case scenario. Now if Rudolph had gone down when hit on the head by the helmet, he could of gotten away scott-free.

Lucky got hit by the open end of the helmet and not the crown of the helmet that could have caused major concuss & or drain bramage. [Reply]
