THE game plan for beating the Chiefs is running the ball. The one thing Spags has to make sure we do is stop the run and that idiot pulls a run defender. The last thing that idiot should do. [Reply]

That gameplan failed multiple times this year [Reply]

The game plan is clearly going 3 wide against the Chiefs and then calling a run on whatever turds Spags subs in. [Reply]
This was terribly mishandled, but I still think the defensive personnel is decent and capable of adequately containing the run when used properly. [Reply]

Umm...no. Denver's offense is anemic.
KC's best defensive performance was against the Vikings...and the #1 ranked rushing attack. Pennel was a key component in that...
How hard would it have been to bring in the "Sausage" for two plays...either blocking or running to get 2 yards in 2 plays? Andy pretends he doesn't exist...
As much as people want to blame the defense...and it stunk, this game was lost because Reid chose not to win it. Calling a play to, literally, your worst offense skill position player...and it being a pass? Hill is always open on a quick out...
No one can convince me that he didn't know what he was doing...he took one for the NFL. Meh...that whole sequence only made sense if you understand it had $100 million+ in Vegas money riding on it. [Reply]

Yep. The Vike's game was it...Speaking of the Sausage, if Andy wanted to pass the ball on 3rd & 2, and be cute about it, he could have drawn up some FB pass that would have likely had a higher success rate than the play he went with. I trust the Sausage's hands way more than Bell's.
But just think about it - you bring your FB in to supposedly get 2 yards, and you sneak him down field. Might just have gone for a TD. OR, you just hand the ball off to him once , or twice, get the 1st down, run clock and win game. :-) [Reply]
I think Spags is pretty much an average coach, he's not a genius or anything. But, he is willing to tinker, and set up a game plan week to week and also to adjust. It might not work every time, but he's already shown he can put together a plan that works some games. You don't have to string too many of those together to get a Superbowl. [Reply]
I just like the part where he explained how there is no logical explanation for their personal decision. That's a "wanna get away" airline commercial waiting to happen. [Reply]

How can there not be any logical explanation? Every move he makes should be based on logic. A case can be made that his decision on Pennel led to our loss. Henry's 188 yards was a difference-maker for the Titans. Without that, we roll them. There had to be another player he could deactivate to keep the extra run defender available. :-) [Reply]
