In his 1st period with the Avs, my assessment of Parise is that he sure doesn't play like a 39 year old. Looks almost as fast as ever, and still physical. Pretty sure that's going to end up being a really solid pickup for the Avs. Even if he plays 3rd line, he'll make that line better and also contribute on the pp. [Reply]

Four solid trade deadline pickups by the Avs. They needed depth badly. If they get anything from their goalies, they're going to be tough to beat in a 7 game series even if Landy doesn't make it back this season. [Reply]
