Just like #ChiefsKingdom has always been there for me and my family, we want to be there for them.❤️
The @Chiefs have launched #KCStrong, an emergency response fund supporting victims and their families, violence prevention and mental health services, and first responders.… pic.twitter.com/sYMnPgCWL0
Friendly mod reminder, this thread is about yesterday's shooting. Not about gun control, gun laws, politics, or anything of that nature. If you need everyone to know what's wrong in this world and how you'd fix it, grab your megaphone and soapbox and take it to DC, thanks. [Reply]
Yeah, if we could somehow keep this thread to news about the shooting and not using the tragedy to prop up your own personal soapbox on gun control or anything else you want to shout at clouds about for the millionth time (we get it, we've all heard it), that would be great.... we have a forum specifically for the tone deaf, use that one instead. thx. This parade was shit before this. Complete different vibe from the previous two. I saw 3-4 fights, tons of pushing and shoving in crowds and people just acting plain stupid in front of and around kids. The last two really felt like celebrations. This felt like kids and adults were in the way of teens and twenties people getting to a rave. I’m only 34 and felt like I was at a multi school high school party. A lot of peacocking and just rude people.
Edit I see this threads already off the rails. Just dropping my .02 [Reply]

"Open carry and concealed carry are legal in Missouri without a Concealed Carry Permit (CCP) for anyone 19 years or older who can legally possess a firearm (18 for members of the military or honorably discharged). However, local authorities can restrict concealed carry in any building owned, leased or controlled.

Well I guess there weren’t sports fans at the last ones. Any time a line stopped shit turned into a mosh pit. Never had any problems at the other two. Saw a father with his son on his shoulders just get pushed down to the ground before the parade started. If that’s sports fans to you we must be going to different games. [Reply]
