that has to be the reason. Everyone on the Planet could see he had lost control. Was not getting it back together. Just pull him. This makes it worse for the guy. Now he blows a game instead of having a “Not your best” day.
Martinez had an off day on opening day. He’s been fantastic since.
Bob Gibson had bad days. Admit it’s not your day and be your regular self in 5 days. No biggie. [Reply]

I understand you're trying to say he's snakebitten, I just don't think that that's a good example.
A contusion is a "bruise" not a concussion and you are nit picking the point, yes I used the wrong word initially but it appears both a contusion and a laceration occurred.

“Blood started gushing down,” Pham said. “My whole jersey was filled with blood.”
He went through post-concussion tests at the ballpark and will have to be re-evaluated Thursday before playing.
“I didn’t know what happened other than the barrel (of the bat) hitting me,” he said. “I’ve in been in some real pain before. I’ve been stabbed. I’ve been through a lot, let’s just say that. I felt pain, but the only thing was that I couldn’t get the blood to stop.”
Pham said he passed all the concussion tests. “I’m good other than this big welt on my forehead. It damaged my modeling career,” he said, in gallows humor.
First time I have heard of this happening. [Reply]
I actually had a close buddy in high school break his jaw and have an orbital fracture from one of those hit things that snaps to the fence and you hit. It sprung back somehow and hit him in the face. Fucked him up. [Reply]

It says it was of his own making but I've used those resistance "contraptions" when I was coaching little league baseball.
They attach to a fence. Your only suppose to go in slow motion until you feel the resistance. I used it to teach them where their feet, hips and hands were when they started to bring the bat through the zone.
I find it fascinating that something I used to teach little leaguers basic stuff is still in use in MLB. [Reply]
