Okay, sure, but let's just take the best players from that draft. No, this isn't objective, it's just who I think of as very good players in the league
Eric Fisher
Lane Johnson
Xavier Rhodes
Deandre Hopkins
Zach Ertz
Darius Slay
Le'Veon Bell
Travis Kelce
Tyrann Mathieu
JC Tretter
I think the best player on that list by far is Deandre Hopkins, but beyond that? The Chiefs probably have the 2nd and 3rd best players from that class on their team. And Eric Fisher is probably in the top 10-15 or so.
If you've got a terrible draft class, it's probably unlikely that three very important players to your Super Bowl team will be playing for you from that draft class. But that's what the Chiefs had.
I think that if we win on Sunday, then that’s the ticket for Tyrann Matheiu to the HOF. He’s so close and I think that would get him in regardless if we win the SB or not.

Veach needs to find a way to make him a Chief for life
Man...the guy is a an-all timer. He should also be in the ring of fame.
If he continues to do exactly what he is doing every week, Honey Badger will be in Canton. Go beyond individual stats and see how he allows Defensive Coordinators to play Chess every down. #HOFhttps://t.co/BAU6l7Lzi4pic.twitter.com/TTw0XIqgBz
I know somewhere in this monster of a thread I dogged the signing. He has definitely been much more than I thought he'd be coming in. He was very inconsistent as a player and I never saw him as overly productive or that much of an impact player beforehand. He's definitely brought leadership, accountability, and consistent, solid production.
I still don't know if the production warrants Canton, but he's the right guy for this system and making sure that secondary is in the right positions to make plays. I think to get to Canton, he'd have to play at least 4 more years at a high level. I'd see 240+ more tackles and 10 more ints as the bars for him to clear to get in (On par with Polamalu). He's capable if he stays healthy and doesn't slow down.
I'll gladly eat the servings of the crow on this one. I may have already but if not I deserve to.
