Nzoner's Game Room>2019 Free agency Thread
O.city 03:24 PM 02-05-2019
We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

There's smart gambles and then there's simply throwing money away. Verrett at almost $4M is the latter.

You would think for 3 million we could have signed him and then drafted someone. For 3 million he could be our #3 safety. He's better than Sorenson and 600k cheaper than Sorenson.

Sounds like he had better offers financially but wanted to play with that Bears D. Could be better for him long term (see Adrian Amos).

I was kind of thinking that about Brown. Not a bad deal for a nice steady player.

Also where is 3M for Ha Ha coming from? Don’t see anything about his salary on twitter, just that he signed for a year.

There's always a chance for redemption. If Kpass becomes a contributor and eventually signs an extension that fairly resembling value he brings to the team, then fans will stop shitting on him.
Bailey was pretty solid in his time in KC. He will be missed.

That money not going to Verrett can now be used on a more sure thing. Wbf.

I only wanted him if it was almost all incentive based.

Patriots declined his fifth year option last year so who knows.

EDIT: that would have made his number this year at around 7mil so that's why

Surely there are worse players you can get but he was part of a league worst run defense going back to 2016

I defended both Fisher AND Ford when they were rookies. Because they flashed plus tools that you could see a way to turn into long-term production.

Speaks is just a fat guy who fell on the QB a couple of times. He stuck to blockers unlike anyone I've seen in a loooooong time.

The #Vikings and pass-rusher Everson Griffen have struck a deal for him to remain on the team, source said.
