Meh. I'll wait and see. Feige has handled all the kind of crap Brie likes to spout pretty damn well. Much better than the actual situation in Marvel's comics today. [Reply]

The top critics on @RottenTomatoes are OVERWHELMINGLY white and male. The newest report from @Inclusionists @USC shows a vast underrepresentation of diverse voices: http://assets.uscannenberg.org/docs/...hoice-2018.pdf … #InclusionCrisis #30302020'
If the movie ends up sucking we know who will be blamed. It won't be the movie, just the white males giving it bad reviews. [Reply]

She did blame white dudes for A Wrinkle in Time sucking. Never mind that it was the poor decision casting Oprah in the damn movie. The rest of the case was pretty well done, but Oprah's over bearing, and incredibly horrid, acting in the movie killed it. [Reply]

This is the type of shit that makes me from 100% sure I will see it at the movies to "if I am bored I might go see it". Same effect Star Wars had. [Reply]

What it comes down to are the writers, vision and direction - and Marvel has given us no reason to doubt their ability in that capacity.

If you make a good movie and keep your mouth shut you will be fine. [Reply]

To some politics is the end all be all when it comes to their entertainment. It doesn't bother me one way or the other, but I get what you're saying. [Reply]

At this point the MCU is much better and much more entertaining than Marvel comics.
No one complained about diversity or female characters when Storm and Gean Grey were the leaders of the team and huge story arcs revolved around them. They were great characters.
You can't have garbage characters with garbage writing and piss poor art and expect people to enjoy it. No matter the sex or race of that character.
And at this point the MCU has earned my trust and I have every reason to think they will make it work until they prove me wrong. [Reply]

It's mostly geeky white males that read comics. Not only, but mostly.
When you look at culture it's usually your star trek nerds and your comix nerds and your D&D nerds that were the most understanding and least racist or sexist. These were mostly people who were social outcasts themselves. Nerds. Dorks. Geeks that didn't get the girl/guy. People who weren't athletic or had horrible acne.
Gaming and sports culture is completely different than comic book culture. To say comics fans are racist and sexist and bigoted shows you've never been in a comix shop. EVER... [Reply]
The idea that it’s totally dominated by white males is just your intuition speaking, not reality.
Inclusion is the future. That means, as a white male, more and more stories will not be pitched specifically to stroke your specific fantasies. But that doesn’t mean the stories aren’t still outstanding. [Reply]
