Have been banned from the other thread by an apparently sensitive snowflake (ironically after dozens of pages of political discussion from others) so I'll stick my thoughts on the NBA Playoffs here from now on. We needed a new thread anyway. [Reply]
I don’t know anything about it but Russillo said he left an absolute shitload of money on the table. I think (I was working, not paying too much attention) he had a lot of money on his contract that he would have got if he stayed on and gotten fired but won’t because he stepped down.
He was in an investment bank before basketball, right? Hard for me to believe he didn’t know what he was doing.
That’s an interesting development. Maybe he’s signaling to other owners that he’s not in it for the money. Maybe he can’t wait to GTFO.

The NFL's ratings are down a cumulative 14% overall through Week 5.
Good matchups, like the Chiefs-Ravens, drew huge numbers but outside of a few games, they're way down, which is to be expected when overall TV viewership is down nearly 25%. [Reply]

Yeah. No. Watch Save The Last Dance. Jordan couldn’t sustain the intensity. He needed away from the media.
I’m firmly in the MJ=GOAT camp but that’s not happening.

I think that franchise needs a reboot.
Don’t disagree at all. It’s interesting because if he would have stuck around to make them fire him. Virtually everybody does that. [Reply]
It was a really fun game to watch, even though I was cheering for a different outcome. The Warriors didn't play great, but a few less turnovers would have probably done it. [Reply]
