I have no clue why DOD didn't take off. His tape at Clemson was stellar -- true modern NFL LB who could fly and cover and still grind it out in the run game.

A lot of his college tape was him freelancing. It became obvious early on that he was struggling with scheme discipline.

Absolutely. I remember watching him last preseason and he ignores covering a wheel route his way because he was freelancing somewhere else on the field on one possession, and the team we were playing hit that pass several times on the same drive, including the TD.

He played the spy against Texans in the playoff game though and did a really good job. I’m just surprised we couldn’t harness his abilities better.

Note for anybody confused: DOD has not yet been cut at this time.
