With many teams/conferences withdrawing from competition this year, it's going to be an interesting race to the top. My bold prediction? Army is the only team to play enough games to be eligible for a bowl and wins the National Championship by default.
Army shut out Middle Tennessee, Navy got destroyed by BYU, and Air Force is too scared to play anybody other than the other academies. Who'd you watch this weekend?
Guess it’s no surprise for 2020, but how shitty have these bowl games been ? 13 games played so far and 3 of them have been compelling to anyone outside of fans of the winning teams. I mean absolute trash. [Reply]

Whew. Thought shitty Florida and their awful play calling in the second half was gonna screw me out of the over. Thank God that Gator defense makes Miami look like the ‘85 Bears. [Reply]

When I was growing up Bowl season was exciting as hell. It actually meant something. Usually meant only the top 2 teams in a conference went to a bowl. The bowls brokered deals amongst themselves for matchups and usually did a damn fine job. I remember everyone looked down on and made fun of the Big 10 and Pac 8 for being ridgid and tied into the Rose Bowl only. If for instance, USC was ranked #1 and played a close game and barely beat Michigan and then #2 Oklahoma blew out Auburn in the Orange Bowl and leapfrogged USC the next day in the UPI poll the moaning and wailing and kicking and screaming from the Pac 8 or Big 10 if their team was edged out was delicious. The argument always was Hey Big 10.. Pac 8, You want to be taken seriously, you need to come out and play some one other than the nice little cozy setup you have out there in Pasadena. But now there's just too many bowls. There's no reason a 7 win team should be playing in a bowl much less a 6 win team. You want to go to a bowl game? Win your damn conference or at least play for the championship. Minimum wins should be 8. ****ing corporate greed. [Reply]

That Mike Leach post-brawl interview was more cringe than expected. Asked about the brawl, goes on and on about calls that went against them during the game. [Reply]
