If Baltimore loses, it will send them into a tail spin for a good part of 2024.
Nah, Harbaugh is a good coach. Baltimore looks like the best team in their division. If they lose, they'll battle back, and I think we'll end up really glad to have the tie breaker. [Reply]

Only worry now is just hoping our guys stay healthy. It's really a weird feeling.
This.
I mean, I'll enjoy watching my Chiefs games during the year as I always do and I'm sure I'll celebrate wildly at some point during the regular season and curse and throw things at another, but when you really set down and take it all in, does the regular season matter all that much, short of making the playoffs and having your key players healthy?
The REAL season starts in January. That is the reality for Chiefs fans in these glorious days.
We can still enjoy the ride along the way, but it will be kind of hard to go all doom and gloom even when they lose a couple in a row now (whether they do or not).
The Chiefs just pretty much killed the narrative last year that the regular season really matters and key games against contenders will make or break you. If you're the best team in the NFL and you play like it when the playoffs get here, you can kind of put all the rest of the B.S. to the side and say 'meh'

Maybe I shoudn't say "I don't have much hype" but this year just feels different. I always thought home field was huge, simply because Tom Brady always needed it to go to Superbowls.
But Pat is different. It doesn't matter where we play. We will win. [Reply]
While I fully expect KC to whomp the carrion eaters in this opener, I also kind of enjoy it when one of the contenders squeaks a win on us in the regular season, filling their heads with hope that they've surpassed us, only for us to crush them in the post season. [Reply]

I think they put that narrative to rest last season. [Reply]
