I don't know a ton about the comic books but isn't Thanos in love with Death? Hela was the Goddess of Death. That would make a whole lot of sense to me. Although we don't even know that Hela is dead. [Reply]
There's no way Cap lives through this. They need something to push the second movie and make sure it makes more money than any movie ever before. With that last shot of Cap struggling to hold Thanos back and that likely being the Wakandan fight scene which looks to be towards the end of the movie, it would make sense that Cap dies and Bucky takes his place for the second film and onward.

You will crawl back and lick the bottom of Marvel's boot. [Reply]

I figured Thanos would bring lots of the dead villains back. It would add a better threat then later in fighting. It would also open the door for hero resurrections. [Reply]

Spoiler!
I don't think they're going that way with Buck. The post-credits in BP indicates that he's going to evolve into White Wolf. My money is on Sam Wilson taking over for Captain America - there were reports that Marvel was debating it between Sam and Buck a while back, and the post-credits to BP seems to show that they've made up their mind.
