And no, I've never played golf. I do sometimes shoot competitively, which also involves walking around on hot days lugging equipment. Like golf, it also involves elements of endurance and skill; of course, unlike golf, those skills are actually useful. But I don't consider it to be a sport, either. My basic rule for a sport - your opponent actually does something to impede your progress other than stand there watching. Golf is basically bowling outdoors.
