I'm up to a 36 waist - thanks to Del Taco and a few others. As well as eating pretty poorly over the last year, or so.
I'm on a strict regimen now and doing a three week diet and then merging it into a new way of life. I have a history of eating well (normally) - but, again; have been quite clumsy over the past year or so.
My plan is to limit myself to 1100 calories a day the first week, then up to 1200 the second week, and then stay on or around 1500 calories as the norm, with one cheat day per week.
After the third week - I'll get back into some sort of exercise, which too will be part of the new 'way of life'
In this thread I'd like to discuss food ideas for assisting myself (& others) with weight loss.
Since Monday I've not gone above 1100 calories/daily - I have eaten oatmeal, oranges, bananas, hard-boiled eggs and in closing, in the evening - I'll eat one of the Chick Fil A Spicy, grilled chicken wraps w/o dressing (350 cals)
I'm open to ideas - but the goal is - finding items that are a little less common and more creative.
Please assist at your leisure - anyone else need assistance or interested in jumping aboard, I welcome it.

I think l did well staying on track for these two weeks on the road. I’ll weigh myself when l get back home tonight. [Reply]
I like your broccoli idea on the previous page. Do you ever make salads etc.. with it?
Could easily do a lunch-only broccoli feast followed by a little bit of salmon + broccoli for dinner. Or something similar.
I have not - that's certainly something you could do - I steam it - if you salt the water and the broccoli it makes it very good - I even like it better than oven-roasted. [Reply]

Right on - I'm doing well too - I haven't weighed lately - but know I haven't gained - yesterday I only had water and one meal. [Reply]
I wish this were my problem. I'm one of the few with an overactive thyroid. If I limited myself to 1100 calories, I'd lose about 20 pounds of muscle in a week.
The last year and a half has been a nightmare of having to eat every chance I get just in an attempt to maintain, yet trying to eat extremely clean at the same time due to gut issues. Damn hard when 12+ hours are invested in work every day. Not to mention expensive as hell.
In short, I only wish my goal were to cut down a bit. Even with normal thyroid function, I know I could burn any excess fat in no time. I've been eager to do a 3 day water fast for a long time, but I know I'd lose a substantial amount of muscle even in that amount of time. [Reply]
l was gone 12 days. Stayed 800-1000 calories under my daily goal. Every day. Walked a total of 28 miles. And weighed the same as the day l left. First time that’s Happened. How is that even possible physically? [Reply]

I don't know the science but I fasted for 5 days (water only) and for the first 2 days I only dropped a pound. By the time the fast was over I went from 205 to 190. [Reply]
