Who knows how Nix or any of the others will work out. I think JJ and Maye are questionable to meet expectations. And Caleb? Has all the ability, but we’ve seen that show tank before as well.
They needed a QB, did their homework and made their bet. I’m not sure what Perna was wrong about, most of his comments in that link were made tongue in cheek… hoping for the best. [Reply]

Nix is not 1st round talent. Denver drafted him 2 rounds early. He's wrong about you guys having a QB that you can believe in. It was a reach. Its gonna make for a funny Perna video one day. [Reply]

Given their track record, it’s possible. And I never saw a mock with him going beyond 40. His value is whatever value the team places on him and where is the draft moving. Whether he is drafted at 12, 22 or 42 … doesn’t really matter.
He will likely win the job and Day 1, the pressure is on. So be it. That’s the price a team pays for consistently screwing up their decisions at the position. [Reply]
