Self will get this figured out. They look pretty lost on offense, but this group has barely played any meaningful basketball together.
The only returners were pieces in the offense last year, but never really ran the offense. Graham (especially), Svi, and Newman really dictated what happened.
It’ll be interesting to see how this offense evolves through conference play. Dotson and Grimes will need to carry the back court. Dedric will provide most of the offense in the front court. Vick needs to just be a nice piece. [Reply]

I thought Smart and Texas would be a match made in Heaven. Not sure what's going on there. They're getting good recruits. Maybe UT is too big for Smart's britches?
Kind of surprised they haven't given KU a run for their money like Rick Barnes used to.
I'm even more surprised as to how Scott Drew/Baylor still has a job?!?!? [Reply]

Drew probably has a job as long as he wants it. You know, digging the program out after covering up a murder buys you a lot of slack.
Smart is just not a good coach. He had a nice group of players that got him a couple high profile wins at a small school that was otherwise not noteworthy.
He’s STILL parlaying that KU win into people thinking he can coach.
And he still appears (granted from the outside) to be a pretentious douche.

This is where I am. Self always figures out how to fit the current years talent into a coherent offense. I guess it boils down to in Self we trust. [Reply]
My favorite neutral court game of the year tomorrow. AT THE SPRINT CENTER!
New Mexico State has actually been pretty good this year. They blew out New Mexico in their last game. Time to shake off the Sprint Center blues and destroy these chumps.
I'm at midcourt - Row 9. Only cost me $125 per ticket. That is why I love the Sprint Center - and free beer thanks to UMD Lounge. [Reply]
