I'm up to a 36 waist - thanks to Del Taco and a few others. As well as eating pretty poorly over the last year, or so.
I'm on a strict regimen now and doing a three week diet and then merging it into a new way of life. I have a history of eating well (normally) - but, again; have been quite clumsy over the past year or so.
My plan is to limit myself to 1100 calories a day the first week, then up to 1200 the second week, and then stay on or around 1500 calories as the norm, with one cheat day per week.
After the third week - I'll get back into some sort of exercise, which too will be part of the new 'way of life'
In this thread I'd like to discuss food ideas for assisting myself (& others) with weight loss.
Since Monday I've not gone above 1100 calories/daily - I have eaten oatmeal, oranges, bananas, hard-boiled eggs and in closing, in the evening - I'll eat one of the Chick Fil A Spicy, grilled chicken wraps w/o dressing (350 cals)
I'm open to ideas - but the goal is - finding items that are a little less common and more creative.
Please assist at your leisure - anyone else need assistance or interested in jumping aboard, I welcome it.

Billay you may have to stop drinking for a while. [Reply]

This is true. Billay, only drink on your days off if you work a mon-fri job. Drink on those 2 weekend days and that’s it. Don’t drink during the week at all. I did this for 3 months a couple years ago and went from 200lbs to 162lbs. Felt lean, felt good. But stay clean all week, no exceptions. By clean I mean diet and sober. [Reply]

I'm generally around 50g/day. I have a hard time in between though.... if I cheat too much in a day or over a weekend, I'll spend the next few days hungry (no matter how much water I'm drinking).
When I've done the weight loss thing a couple times, I don't like doing more than bend-don't-break for maybe a day... I hate the thought of being at a 500 calorie deficit for 6 days, just to go 1000+ over and wipe out two of those days. And no beer at all, since the stuff I drink packs some calories.
When maintaining, I'm good at sticking with it during the week and not getting too crazy during the weekend. [Reply]
i eat broccoli like there is no tomorrow in my plan. It's filling, cheap and super healthy. I minimize my meat intake (for this particular plan) - it's all going well, just takes the weight a little longer to drop versus the way it used to. I'll be successful though. I may not even drink again until the home opener. [Reply]

My plan is to have a very stiff double on Fridays with my nice steak dinner and on Saturday have 4 or 5. This won't hinder gains at all. [Reply]

if you start giving yourself freedoms from the cheat day - they'll grow wider and wider, as will you. Sorry - cold hard facts. Tough love my brother. [Reply]
Restricting my carbs is working. Cant do full Keto at 26g max. But I can do 50-80g (still much better than the 250-400g when my diet was horrible) and stay under 2k calories a day quite easily while eating some good food mixed in with a couple of protein shakes. [Reply]

l drank like 8 bourbon and coke zeros once since l started this weight loss journey. Drinking a lot to me is like going to a pizza Buffett, eating burgers and pie, been there done that. Time to try something else in my life. [Reply]

Right. But having a few drinks and then not eating like shit while staying in a deficit will not add to weight gain. [Reply]

Coke zero has been a life saver for me in terms wanting soft drinks/juices. Even so, I only drink em on the weekend as somewhat of a reward for a clean week of dieting. It doesn't help that I work for Coca Cola in a warehouse where they have fountain drinks for us in the breakroom! lol! [Reply]
