I think I'd taken it for granted as an article of solid faith that Nate Diaz with a full camp is going to make Conor look silly at 202, but after reading this article, I can't help but think that maybe Conor just might have a small chance.
Sure, Conor won the first round, but Diaz later said his gameplan was to take the first round off to make sure he could go 5 since he had no camp, and Conor didn't win the first 8 minutes, Diaz looked good from the 6th minute on, before he rocked Conor. But, it sure sounds like Conor is obsessed and taking the rematch very seriously, so who knows. [Reply]

I hope the outcome is the same. I hate Bisping and I'd love to see Hendo hang em up as the champ [Reply]
USADA decided to lift Islam Makhachev's suspension, but they are still investigating his test failure. His case is complicated. The substance he got popped for was only added to the banned list recently, on January 1. He said he was prescribed the drug (Meldonium, whatever that is) from a doctor and he stopped taking it after it was banned.
USADA is not sure how long that drug stays in your system, but studies are ongoing. They gave him a choice to stay suspended or have it be lifted. The risk is that if they later determined that there was no way it could have still been in his system in April after stopping on January 1, then they will suspend him and he'll get no credit for time served under suspension. Meldonium is the same thing that this young lady was suspended for as well.
Looks like our prayers to the training injury Gods are working, because the card is holding together. I am going to watch all 3 events obviously, but I plan to post a UFC 200 thread on Saturday. [Reply]

UFC will have fights on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. 5 title fights. (well 4 title fights and a pretend title fight)
Thursday is fightpass only, but RDA is defending his lightweight belt against Eddie Alvarez. Roy Nelson is also fighting the black beast in the co-main.
Friday is the TUF finale on FS1. Joanna Champion is defending her strawweight belt, and not much else on that card unless you were following TUF and care about some of those fighters. [Reply]
