GIF'D UP 2009 - AWARDS CEREMONY
FOURTH PLACE - G MIKE GOFF - FAIL RATE - 2.47%
With 12 FAILS in just 486 snaps this season, Goff proved just how awful a free-agent
pickup he was. He got no push in the running game, was shoved into Matt Cassel's face
countless times, allowed players to blow right past him with simple pass rush moves,
and fell on his ass quite a bit. He sucked. GIF'D UP memorializes his brand of fail with
one play from the Chargers game, in which he was COMPLETELY OWNED.
THIRD PLACE - T BRANDEN ALBERT - FAIL RATE - 3.15%
With 29 FAILS, only Alberts high snap count of 920 prevented him
from going home with the gold this year. No one else was GIF'D UP more.
Albert struggled from the beginning, although he improved by the end.
That doesn't excuse his FAIL, though. Here he is allowing a pass rusher
into the backfield completely untouched
RUNNER UP - LB DERRICK JOHNSON - FAIL RATE - 3.8%
With 13 FAILS in a mere 344 snaps last season, one wonders what would have become of
Derrick O. (OWNED) Johnson had Todd Haley not yanked him off the field most of the year.
He missed tackles, blew coverages and in general, looked like garbage
other than a handful of amazing plays. Here he is whiffing terribly.
***GIF'D UP CHAMPION 2009***
T BARRY RICHARDSON - FAIL RATE - 5.9%
With only 8 FAILS all season long, it might seem unfair to crown B-Rich
our champion. But when "all season" constitutes a whopping 135 snaps,
it's not hard to figure out why the coaching staff didn't put you on the field more.
Here's Big Bad Barry getting owned against the Cleveland Browns on both running AND passing plays.
DISHONORABLE MENTION
S Mike Brown - 18 FAILS, second only to Albert. Shockingly,
he played more snaps than any Kansas City Chief, keeping his rate low.
LB Corey Mays -13 FAILS
T Ryan O'Failaghan - 13 FAILS
TE Sean Ryan - 8 FAILS in only 471 snaps.
