Confirmed, per source, Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill had a posterior SC (sternoclavicular) dislocation which was successfully reduced in the hospital. No surgery required. He will stay overnight.
@insideinjuries writes at The Athletic that Hill's injury has a 7 week recovery time, and they rate that he would be at high risk for reinjury or compensatory injury if returning earlier [Reply]

Danny Amendola came back after only 4 weeks, why would Hill take longer? Unless Tyreek has complications, just can’t see him missing more than four games. Amendola’s rehab went perfect, no reason Tyreek’s rehab won’t do the same. Now, if you are predicting Tyreek has some kinda of setback during his rehab, only then will it be longer than Amendola’s. Barring any setbacks, 4 games max. [Reply]
Everyone heals different. You can speculate, but that's all it is. Athletes are also going to receive round the clock care and treatments where as the usual person who goes through that injury is an average joe who's been in a car crash. I can see Hill being out 4 weeks. [Reply]
After seeing Hill catch that 4th and 9 on a bad foot, I'm confident that he's gonna come back from this faster than others. The dude is just a competitor. [Reply]

Sammy’s last performance was right there with the best performance Tyreek has had in his career. Shady, Williams, Kelce, Hardman, Robinson. We’ve still got as many weapons as any team in the league.
Andy and Pat are a handful for any team alone. We still have a ton of options even without Tyreek. Remember Pat lit up Denver’s starters in his first game with scrubs and Albert Wilson.
More reps for Hardman in practice now. This could end up a blessing in disguise because it helps develop a rookie. Makes the offense even more dangerous for the playoffs if everyone is healthy. [Reply]

The guy survives and beats a whole boatload of media idiots and dipshit fans only to have this go down in the first fucking game of the season.
I've said it before and I'll say it again; that plot of land in east KC is fucking cursed. CURSED. No good will ever come as long as that fucked up set of coordinates remains this teams' home. Burn it, bulldoze it, and create some un-needed extra parking for the Royals. [Reply]
