Well, with this news story, I guess I can now post that the one place that holds nearly the entirety of my childhood memories will be torn down after the end of May. Just watching this brings tears to my eyes. First best friends were made here. My first job was here. Even had my first kiss here. Skateport will be gone, but never forgotten.

just to cheer you up a little, it gets worse as you get older... :-)

What burns me is that MoDOT made it sound like they gave Ted these wonderful options. Basically, "You can keep the rink, but we'll just take away all of your parking, or people with small children can just park and cross a super busy street to get to your front door."

Oh yeah. I feel sooo much better now. :-)
