Confirmed, per source, Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill had a posterior SC (sternoclavicular) dislocation which was successfully reduced in the hospital. No surgery required. He will stay overnight.

That's not what he said.
That's actually a terrible interpretation of the comment by Teicher. [Reply]

He's the same person who said we should keep Tyreek at punt return because he's never been injured before so he can't get injured in the future. Because logic. [Reply]

Reid and Toub apparently shared my sentiment [Reply]

Guess we should shut this whole forum then.
If you think we should risk hill on punt returns, you're dumb. And plus, there's a reason DAT is on the roster and Mecole was working on punt returns in training camp. Guess Reid and Toub agree with me there. [Reply]

He didn't say anything even close to that. [Reply]
I just want to say how proud I am that Rick Burkholder was my Adopt-a-Chief last season.
His work with Sammy this off-season has been outstanding, as was his approach to preparing the team to play in J'ville last Sunday. We were actually in better shape in the 4th quarter than those Yaguar asswipes. And, of course, there's his decision to immediately send Tyreek to a trauma surgeon after the injury and initial diagnosis. Things could have turned out far worse if he hadn't.
Therefore, I would like to hereby declare him as my 2019 Adopt-a-Chief, as well.
The Chiefs ruled WR Tyreek Hill out of Sunday’s game against the Raiders but held out public hope he could return shortly after that. “I know there’s speculation out there about how long (Hill won’t play) but he’s truly a week to week injury,’’ trainer Rick Burkholder said.
There's another reason they are slow playing their hand with how long he will be out.
From a competitive standpoint it does them more good to say "well, he might be back next week" than "he is definitely out X number of weeks."
Par for the course.
This will be a minimum of a month with the Chiefs erring on the side of caution due to the significance of the second half of the season and his importance, so, unless they go on a terrible losing streak....four games minimum...and probably six just to be safe.
