KU needs it...and Self knows it...pretty much said his current big guys suck outside of Azabuke.

Self told KC Star a day ago he's optimistic that both will play.

But ultimately said the decision is out of his hands.

It'd be a big boost for sure heading into conf play. KU needs all the big help they can get. Team can't rebound worth a shit!

Whole squad bringing the rape this first half. I know I won't make it to the second so I hope it's just more of this. Stanford pretty well sucks so I shouldn't wake up to any surprises.

Everybody keeps saying such things as if Preston and/or De Sousa won't make a difference. We're talking about two 5* skilled bigs being added to a team whose only real weakness is front court depth. Preston may be the most takented player on the team. They will absolutely be the most talented Big 12 team and a legit top 5 team.

If you read between the lines, it appears we are going to get both of these guys within the next 3 games or so I'd say.

Svi has really stepped it up for his senior year. I don't care what some people think, he's a valuable asset to this team. His defense could still use some work but it is improved lately. Here's hoping we get to see DeSouza and Preston very soon.
