LSU catcher/designated hitter Saul Garza signed a contract with the Kansas City Royals, coach Paul Mainieri told The Advocate. The Royals drafted Garza last year, but Garza turned down their offer to play another season at LSU.
Dido. Brought me back to 1998. I got a lot of McGwire memorabilia from then.
Also McGwire, Bonds, Sosa, Clemens, etc need to be in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Baseball writers are the worst, bunch of fucking pin head losers. [Reply]
Two new signees are Georgia OF Tucker Bradley, who hit .397/.513/.730 for @BaseballUGA as a redshirt junior this spring, and Tennessee RHP Chase Wallace, who had a 3.50 ERA in 4 starts for @Vol_Baseball this spring after a solid summer in the Cape. https://t.co/XQmxqOvUVg
They’ve added a nice set of talent AND have signed the top 3 players out of this pool. Couple of interesting catchers in there.
And yeah, it’s highly possible they got the best pitcher and SS in this draft, unless Austin Martin ends up playing SS or Casey Martin plays SS AND hits. [Reply]

I read that the catcher they added from Arkansas Pine Bluff is seen as a plus defender with plus-plus power - he missed all of last season with Tommy John surgery but was off to a strong start to this season (5 HR in 17 games).
