Confirmed, per source, Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill had a posterior SC (sternoclavicular) dislocation which was successfully reduced in the hospital. No surgery required. He will stay overnight.
Rick Burkholder says Tyreek Hill's hospital visit in Jacksonville went well. Hill flew back Monday & started his rehab Monday night. The team will do some testing in a couple weeks. "He's truly a week-to-week situation."

Not doing it.
There are VAST differences between this situation and HaglundsHobo.
HH had a long history of trauma that extended beyond the sport, and both the trauma and the treatment compromised his ability to heal.
Another congenital condition arose that resulted in subjective pain when stressed through football activity.
So HH was dealing with chronic subjective pain and the mental weight of fate constantly throwing up roadblocks to his ability to thrive.
In Tyreek's case, he's just a COUPLE DAYS removed from a freak physical injury with an undeveloped timeline for recuperation. Rather than being constantly bombarded with illnesses and chronic long-term injuries that have been dragging him down forever, Tyreek has a history of gutting through subjective pain and still performing at a high level, and seems to be in a mindframe where he's driven to prove his worth on the field still.
It's possible that this injury has complications that end up prolonging his recuperation, but I don't think it's fair to assume we're about to deal with a cat-and-mouse game where Tyreek milks things or slowplays his recovery. [Reply]
