More trade news: The #Chiefs are deep in talks with the #49ers on a trade for star pass-rusher Dee Ford, sources say. Things have escalated and this could get done by the end of the night. Ford needs to work out a new contract with SF, which is a big piece of this.
The Patriots got a 2nd and a cumrag for Jones, so wouldn't it be fair to say that while Veach has to wait a little....the value is actually in line? [Reply]

As good as it may feel, revenge against players who were injured, fell below expectations in 2018 or screwed up on one play does not make our defense any better. [Reply]

Overpaying often injured players at or close to 30 doesn't either... [Reply]

The 49ers just gave a guy who has more bad years than good, is 28, and has a lengthy injury history NINETY MILLION DOLLARS.

Let that sink in for a minute.
Exactly.
And had we waited an extra year to sign him we would have had to pay more than that.
He was gone either way - this way we get a 2nd round pick... [Reply]

Meanwhile in Spag's system the safety is often tasked with coverage responsibilities that are clearly the Honey Badger's weakness.
And yet Spags wanted one and not the other. :-) [Reply]
