He signed with the Chiefs. I think we know what's left. :-)

I don't see why he won't do what Shady did, plus some. We sorely miss LDT, and injuries to Rankin and Osemele have screwed us as well. As a result we've had both NE and LV win the LOS with a minimal rush and dropping deep while swarming the underneath stuff. If the line even remotely improves in the middle, that all changes. Then I really believe Andy can get creative again, and we'll see Bell do more than Shady did, all while carrying the ball like its not riddled with AIDS.

Yeah, Shady has 25 career fumbles in about 3000 career touches. He fumbles once every 120 touches.

Bell has 9 fumbles in just under 2000 career touches or about 1 fumble in 200 touches.

That's a HUGE difference.

We have earned all this as fans. We stuck it out through the shit seasons, gut wrenching playoff losses etc. We have paid out fan dues to have the best team in football.

We continued to be fans after a player killed himself in the parking lot.

Nuff said.

Yes and no. The dude has unreal vision and patience. As good as CEH is bell will see holes that CEH won't. It might be just what we need especially in situations where we need to chip away a few yards.

Players operated a drug ring out of the locker room too.

The guy wanted to be paid like a hybrid RB/WR and maybe rightfully so. The Steelers instead tried to franchise him as a RB not once but twice, which is a shitty deal. No player wants to be franchised as there's no long-term security. But to be franchised twice just stinks. The second time he was tagged, his base would have been $14.5M per the league. He said he wouldn't take a contract worth less than that annually, which is partially understandable. His exit out of Pittsburgh was messy and he wasn't blameless. He also wasn't fully to blame either.

The Jets situation is even worse. The GM brought him on with a massive contract even though the HC didn't want Bell at all. Adam Gase is a moron and an asshole and he made it a point to make sure he and Bell never got along. Say whatever you want about Bell in that situation - the New York Jets are the worst team in the league - and one of the worst-run franchises in football history - for a reason.

As a result of all of it, Bell got a reputation for being selfish and money-hungry. Right or wrong, he now has a chance to rewrite that narrative and win a ring in the process. Good for him. Great for us.
Well earned. The Pitt thing has to leave a bad taste. Sure there was the money thing but he completely left his teammates in the dust. But good news is in kc money won't be the issue, in fact the exact opposite as he'll be motivated to land one final big contract after the season.

Came out later they talked and planned some of it in the locker room.

CEH will see them eventually. He's a rookie and had next to no preseason prep.

Signing a guy like Bell is a win for him in more ways than one.
