#Chiefs’ rookie Breeland Speaks made his presence felt against the Jaguars, totaling seven pressures (2 QB Hits and 5 QB Hurries) on a career-high 56 defensive snaps. He played a combined 60 defensive snaps in weeks 1-4, per @PFF. pic.twitter.com/0sacM3II3B
Gotta figure we keep 8 or 9 DL between DE and DT. We have several guys that can play in or out, so I might lean towards 8, so K-Pass will probably be on the fence.

From 3-4 OLB to 4-3 DT a year later. What a stupid fucking pick. They clearly had no real idea what to do with him or where to use him. Another square peg in a round hole. [Reply]

Yep, if he doesn't work out (which is probably 85% likely at this point), this will be a great lesson in how not to use high draft picks.
Essentially they drafted two DE's in back to back years, and tried to convert them into players that can cover.... LOL and now they're bringing them in close. It's like drafting an OT, and hoping you can teach him to catch, and play TE. Then after he fails miserably, beefing him up and trying him at guard.
If one between K-pass and Speaks doesn't work out, it's like doubling down on a bad hand. [Reply]

No he was a 4-3 DE that was forced to play OLB in a 3-4. He should be a 4-3 DE again who has put on too much weight in the off season.
They will probably only carry 4 DT. Jones, Nnadi, Saunders, Hamilton, Williams.
Speaks needs to make the squad at DE. [Reply]
