The trend in the NFL is now going back to what it used to be years ago by allowing a talented high draft pick QB to sit for a year to at least learn and assimilate the NFL game. The league saw what AR did with PM2 and how successful just that one game was for PM2 showing his actual development.
Browns,Giants,Jets and Donks all have their "stop gap" QBs in place to actually do the same thing we did last year.
The question now becomes which of these so-called QBOTF candidates has the humility and the true "fire in the belly" to actually evolve into a highly successful NFL QB ?
Rosen - to me is arrogant and does not have the "fire in the belly" when the manure will hit the fan IMHO. He is very Cutlarian to me not to mention his concussion issues. NFL QBing is just an option for him IMHO. Not good.
Darnold - is very young and nothing about his QB play really jumps out at me that screams 1st pick overall. I do like his personality and his love for the game which will go a long way in his development and maybe he develops into a stud NFL QB. But I don't get excited about this kid.
Allen - Holy Cow this kid has a very rude awakening coming and I don't care if his arm can throw the football around the whole world and his accuracy is horrendous. This kid is more raw than uncooked red meat. This kid's personality is way to naive and nice and I pickup from some of these interviews that his confidence level about himself acclimating to the NFL game is very low although "he is ready to work". He is another Osweiler and Lynch in the making for sure for me anyways.
Mayfield- Has the Napoleon Complex going on here for sure. Yes his arm is better than advertised. Yes he is athletic and very competitive for sure but Baker is still about Baker and after the JM fiasco, just a hint of Baker's antics which don't even come close to JM will scare many teams away IMHO. I could be very well wrong about this but I think Mayfield will get severely humbled on draft day experiencing the great fall in the 1st rd and possibly get Geno'd into the 2nd rd.
For me none of these QB's really warrant what the Jets gave up but then the Jets are the Jets. See Sanchez and Geno.:-) [Reply]
telling everyone about it now just opens up the competition to try and trade in front of them. Dorsey really killed it last year jumping in front of the Texans and it was obvious they were shocked by it. [Reply]

Most of the Bronco brass were at BM and JR's pro day for a reason and it wasn't because they are that interested in any of these QBs. They were bluffing and really saying we are "open for business" meaning like the Colts they want to trade down IMHO. Will the Bills bite ?? [Reply]

Yep. We were back far enough nobody in their right mind would have thought we would trade up that many spots. Dorsey did the prudent sly thing and worked out the deal with the Bills building that relationship long before and getting commitment from them and kept it quiet and got the Bills to keep their mouth shut as well. I have a hard time believing they are okay with rolling with Case Keenum for an extended amount of time. He is a place holder, as illustrated by his two year deal (1 year gtd.)
Reminds me of the baters back in the hay day. I would like this guy, this guy, this guy, this guy, or this guy. 4 outta 5 bust and 1 is decent....NAILED IT!! [Reply]

The donks are in on the QB party.
Let's talk on draft day when they might possibly take Barkeley or get lucky and take Chubb at 5 or IMHO will trade back IF they can get the Bills to bite.:-):-) [Reply]

Well if barkley is available at 5 that means the top 3 QBs are gone. Hell, the giants might even take one. [Reply]
