Solid first season, and very satisfying finale for the first season.
Spoiler!
Im feeling better about the development of Fisk after the end of S1. Still the loose end with Gao, but I figure when Fisk is back on the street he wont make the mistake of having the style of collaboration he had before, and everyone will answer to him.
I figure he will come to this decision as he stares at the wall and "figures out what kind of man he wants to be" in his cell. Damn good scene right there.
Should really be interesting once he reaches "Kingpin of Crime" status.
Really liked how they showed him as being really strong without finding someone as cartoonishly huge as he is in the books. When he flung DD into the side of that dumpster, and the gorilla press bodyslam, that shit was awesome. Damn good fight scene in that alley between the two.
Really wish it hadn't taken so damn long to get the costume. That thing is bad ass.
Now who do we have to bribe to get a Punisher series? [Reply]

Okay. The darkness, the violence, the milieu... it's all been covered. I'm going to talk about something different.
I like the way they've handled the love interests. They're straightforward partnerships up to this point. Foggy has his girl who is helping him. Matt has Claire who knows who he is and is helping him. Even Fisk has something of a love interest who is accepting him (though I''m in ep5, and I have a feeling she's about to get killed by the Russians) none of the tortured bullshit of trying to hide identity and being like, "Oh. I'm supposed to be at this date, but suddenly my superhero alter ego calls, leading to complications in my relationship." After Spiderman and Arrow, that shit is completely overdone. I like the straightforward relationships in this series so far. It's refreshing.
Hell, one of the better things is that the villlain is dealing with the secret identity in his love interest more than the hero. [Reply]
I was not crazy about how they portrayed Melvin Potter. Miller, in his early-80s run, did portray him as a bit of a sympathetic simpleton, as the show did, but I prefer his late-60s/early-70s brutal killer version. Plus, I really want to see the buzzsaw wristblades.
As for the Owl, I think it goes without saying that they're setting up Leland's son "Lee" to adopt that persona later. I'd like to see him visualized as well, with the wings and the avian physique.
Also, the wonderfully grumpy Leland was one of my favorite characters in the show. One wonders what the hell he was thinking in enraging Fisk as much as he did.
Also, did anyone else spot the probably-Bullseye?
Spoiler!
The rooftop sniper had a pack of playing cards in his bag.

I must be on ep 8 or so by now. When the balls is he going to get the costume and billy clubs?
Spoilered for those that don't want to know...

Think of the entire season as an origin story for both DD and Kingpin. You'll have to wait for the end of the story (final episode).
Haven't read any posts in this thread, I just finished a few episodes and I am in shock at how much i love this.
You all know I'm a Marvel fan boy, but Daredevil was never a reason for that.
This show has me by the balls. No way I don't watch the whole season by tomorrow night.
Episode 4 starting now.
Marvel, bay. [Reply]
