just like every other team, they have no choice. Unless it’s clear like Jones, Zack etc that this QB will never be the leader you need, you have to pay them when the rookie deal is done. We would have too if Dallas or the Saints had jumped us to get Mahomes. [Reply]

He got as much as Joe Burrow. Also got $200 mil guaranteed and $142 mil fully guaranteed (wtfever that means). He's fucking 20-30 in his career and hasn't had even 1 elite season. [Reply]
A bit of an overpay, though considering that Daniel Jones got $40 million/yr, they basically had to pay Trevor that much. At least JAX can go to bed knowing that their QB will be significantly more successful than Daniel Jones, so the $$$ won't sting as much? [Reply]
