I have a high bar for biscuits and gravy. My grandmother was born in Virginia in 1915 and grew up on a farm/ranch. She still had a Victory Garden in her back yard when she passed away. The first ready to eat store bought food that she ever allowed in the house was Kellog's Corn Flakes and that wasn't until the mid 70's. I'm talking fried chicken dinner every single Sunday. There wasn't anything she couldn't make from scratch and it tasted like angels brought it down from Heaven for you to show you an example of God's sweet abiding love. [Reply]
I would put my own sawmill gravy up against anyone's, there's a few critical things I do that give mine the edge - I've disclosed all the secrets to CP before, in the past. [Reply]
It was incredible. The holidays were these unimaginable feasts as the women in the family would make their best dishes and bring them. There would be easily 75+ people for all of the major ones. [Reply]
I think I ate at a Carl's Junior or Hardees or Jack in the Box a few times in San Jose CA and they had a steak sandwich with onion rings on it that was great. Never had anything like it since anywhere.

My family on my maternal side are basically Hobbits from the Warwick River Shire. [Reply]
I love Carl's Jr. But it's like red robin expensive. Their all natural burger is delicious as fuh.
Like most fast food chains.. Really depends on the franchise owner and how much employees care to work. [Reply]

I remember eating at one in Dodge City growing up and it was pretty good, had a Hardees Hot Wheels car.
turnpike one closed several years ago, but there are still 3 in Topeka. [Reply]

Probably Days of Thunder. I remember that being all over the pace when I was a kid.
