I have lived in PA for 27 years and have many friends who are Steelers fans. I've seen their reactions in good times an in bad, sober and drunk. But those people in the upper deck were FURIOUS at Roethlisberger. They didn't say much about Patrick, but they were convinced that Roethlisberger was done, needed to be CUT, and should never return to Pittsburgh. Then he would lead a drive or throw a TD and they LOVED him! Oh Ben, never leave us, you are our HERO!
I had an experience there years ago (Larry Johnson tackling Polamalu by the hair). If you remember we got blown out. On the way out of the stadium we faced lots of derision and even some beer muscle encouraged intimidation.
After the game this time they complimented us on our team and that we have a nice looking QB. [Reply]
