In a perfect world, I'd be headed to KU/ASU tonight... but, decent seats are kind of insane. Avalanche/Yotes is a good consolation though... maybe the Avs can bounce back from the lowly Blackhawks, despite the back to back games. [Reply]

Yeah, something like 3-15 since mid-December, with an OT loss or two in there. :-)
If it wasn't for the Stars and Knights winning a few games lately, the entire WC would be a dumpster fire.... they should just start the playoffs with the top two teams in each division, definitely no need for the wild cards.
On another note, the Leafs got Matthews signed... they have the money to sign Marner and Matthews will get his insane contract a couple years early. [Reply]

The routine (for them) half-ice tape-to-tape passes they were missing in OT suggests there was a lot going wide.
It's pretty telling when you see those guys missing those passes. And not in a bad way, it tells me that both teams must have skated their living asses off in the 3rd.
Hats off to both teams, they really did leave it all on the ice. [Reply]

Avs fans shouldn't be fans of the Matthews signing, (as a Leafs fan, I'm not fond of it) - it sets the table for all other RFAs getting big money and minimal term.
Rantanen & Co. will probably wait until the Leafs overpay Marner to negotiate their contract.
The Matthews deal has set a bad trend on contracts - IMO. [Reply]
