That is one of Manilow's best songs right there, btw. Always liked that one.
See, I'm not anti-Manilow... was just giving you crap. :-)
Barry was out of style when I was a kid too. My vocal teacher told us if you want to learn what perfect pitch is... even tho it's "uncool" listen to Barry Manilow. He has one of the most perfect voices in music, then and now. That advice helped me go to state as a soloist. You can't be a good singer if you aren't but if you are you can learn technic from Barry. Nope. Fever is exempt. You'll get the exempt status too if you keep posting good vids. :-)

I don't think that it would be wise for a chick to try to learn vocals from Manilow. That would sound pretty damn awful. :-) [Reply]

Not at all. Good pitch is good pitch. Just take it up to the octave that fits your voice. I can't sing with Barry, my voice is too low. I can hear his technique though. Of course I had years of vocal training too so... if you haven't it's more difficult. [Reply]
I never knew
I never knew that everything was fallin through
that everyone I knew was waiting on a cue
to turn and run when all I needed was the truth
but that's how it's gotta be
it's coming down to nothing more than apathy
I'd rather run the other way than stay and see
the smoke and who's still standing when it clears
