We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.
If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

He’s a #1 receiver type of talent. Guys like Humphries and Crowder got damn near $10M per year and they’re nothing more than above average slot receivers. [Reply]

Wait, do you mean that his 2019 cap hit is $12M?
If so, you're only saving $9M. I don't think that lands you a 2nd tier LEO, SAM, and two prove it deals (which would have their entire value hit THIS year).
What I'm saying is that people get so fixated on the total number that they don't subtract what their reasonable number would be. Having Watkins on a reasonable deal doesn't save $20m in cap space. It saves 8-9. Don't get me wrong - that's useful money and his contract is too large, but it's not like "Veach you moron" territory.
Additionally, a huge part of Watkins' value was making sure Mahomes had every single opportunity to succeed. I wouldn't change a single thing. [Reply]

Exactly. If you only want to spend that much, you’rs not getting a guy that is a legitimate 1b/#2 opposite of Hill. [Reply]
