We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.
If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

Well, you could probably go out and get a 2nd tier free agent at SAM and LEO to start. Might even be able to swing a prove it deal for a CB or 2. [Reply]

Thank GOD for Watkins' contract if it means not signing Earl Thomas.
If reports that Bell isn’t getting the offers for the money he was looking for are true, Kevin Colbert should pick up the phone and offer him the same deal (5-year, $60-million with more than half in the first two years or whatever) he turner down and see if he would come back.

We can still get a second tier SAM.
And if we need a LEO, that means we aren’t paying Ford, so we could probably afford that too.
And whatever SAM or LEO we signed, we’d also have to overpay for. You’d probably call it a stupid contract.... [Reply]
Yea let’s start talking about firing the guy that got us Mahomes before he even has a full draft.
I was mostly being facetious calm down. Obviously there's not much of a reason to fire him yet, he's only had a season under his belt. But not releasing Berry will definitely be strike number 1 for the fire veach arguments when - if the time comes. [Reply]

Watkins is getting a big cap hit this and next year, and the Chiefs can easily get out of next year with minimal damage .
That is an ideal contract structure for signings like him, not handing out five or six year deals that hamstring you to players for long periods of time. [Reply]

Watkins is far more valuable.
Agree. Just watch the Pats game in the AFCCG. We lost Hunt and Williams put up 3 TDS. Hill was getting double teamed all game and Watkins had over 100 yards receiving. Watkins > Bell [Reply]

Okay, so let's do this. What do you think an appropriate cap number for Watkins should be? [Reply]

What if Berry comes back this year and plays at a all pro level [Reply]

He was a good evaluator of talent, but he also SNAFU'd on a few picks as well. Russel comes to mind... [Reply]
