Hello old people of CP! Do you ever think about wanting to talk about problems you and other old people have? Is this football forum the only place on the internet you know how to get to? Well look no further! This old man thread is here for you to talk about your trials and tribulations.
Have an itch to complain about how the young generation doesn't know what hard work is? Post it in here! Are there some birds that need yelled or do you have neighbors that play music too loud? We'd love to hear about it! Did you fill your diapers and want to complain about the poor quality of Chinese products? Please regale us!
So if you can barely see letters in this thread without zooming in, but refuse to give up your drivers license, we'd love to read what you have to tell us! Come on in, bring your Werther's candy, and folksy tales of how things used to be! [Reply]

So you leave hoping other employees do not see you leaving yet, along comes housekeeping - there are 4 things involved in rectifying this issue - gloves, bleach, a toilet scrubber and force. Now this does not work out well for said housekeeper because FORCE is certain to break said scrubber so hands emerge in said streaked toilet so the gloves come in handy for said housekeeper. However, since such "force" was used. forehead sweating was created and said housekeeper uses gloved hand, which was immersed in said soiled toilet, wipes forehead without thinking with submerged gloved hand. End result, does not work well for said housekeeper - a silent victory for the old guy! :-)
Having told you this toilet humor story, here is another fun one... "Toilet Lasagna" :-)
So at my work someone (not me) DESTROYED our toilet! So the company needed to call Roto-Router to resolve the issue. So they covered it with visqueen. Then some knuckle head comes in and shits on said covered toilet. They cover that with visqueen and you guessed it, someone else shits on that! There you have it - Toilet Lasagna! Unreal! :-) [Reply]

OK, one more before I'm done. Some guy in said bathroom had exploding diarrhea and it was everywhere ala "Dumb and Dumber". So they called in Serve Pro (Like it never happened) and this Serve Pro guy walks into said bathroom with a Ghostbusters back pack on and I hear him say as he walks into said bathroom "Oh God, it's everywhere!" :-) [Reply]

Another one that gets us is shingles.
One of my friends from high school came down with this when he was in his mid-40s (normally it's an after-50 thing, but he was very unlucky). For those who don't know, shingles a virus related to chickenpox that causes a horrible, painful rash that takes days/weeks to go away. If you had chickenpox as a child (which pretty much all of us did) this shit is lurking in your system, and it can manifest itself at any time.
After he described the hell he was going through dealing with it, I got the vaccine for it the next day. Simply put, FUCK THAT. :-) [Reply]

I saw someone go through that shit. I got the shingles vaccine because of seeing the amount of pain it dish’s out. [Reply]
Go to where young folks hang our...not sure where. Go to the bathroom with a cantaloupe. Go to the stall wait a minute until someone goes to the stall next to you then drop it in and let out a big sigh.

My mrs is dealing with them now. Let's just say, if you haven't gotten the shingles vaccine, you should RUN to your nearest pharmacy and get it. She's been in agony for 3 weeks. [Reply]

Ugh. Sorry to hear that.
It's been about 10 years now since I got vaccinated the first time. I'm not sure if that's a one-off, or if I should get another one. [Reply]

I got the Shingrix vaccine it’s supposed to be the latest and greatest for Shingles.
My older sister (58) years at the time had it and I went and got the shot, I had to go back a month later for the second shot.
My guess Frazod is that your doctor would want you to get these shots also be sure to tell them about your past shots and how long ago it was. [Reply]
