Nzoner's Game Room>Chiefs signing CB DeAndre Baker to practice squad

I’ve seen this in a couple spots now, it’s early but here’s this from a NYP journalist... https://twitter.com/nypost_schwartz/...959128576?s=21

This would obviously be a hell of a low risk/high reward move that makes so much sense for a team destined to pick in the 30s.

His leg bent the wrong way. It looked very similar to a Dadi Nicolas from many years ago and a more severe version of Justin Houston's knee.

They only have him under for this season right?

I believe we control him as an RFA, but he's technically not under contract.

Not a great start to his career.

Broken Femur is better than a knee blowout? Right?

How do you completely break your leg by just running?

I've seen this one other time in my life. It was a teammate of mine in HS. That time it was cancer. Actually a tumor in the bone, which created a weak spot inside it. His femur exploded like a bomb went off inside it.

Hoping like hell it's not that.

I have no idea.

My mind instantly turned to some contributing problem like a cancer or some sort of blood disease that affects marrow.

Finely-tuned athletes should definitely not break a femur running on grass.
