Same thing here Donger. Gas bottomed out at $1.23 a couple of weeks ago. Now it's running about $1.65 all over the area.

Crude will likely cross the $40 threshold within the next month or two. Gasoline is now $1.97, up $0.27 in one month.

Gas is up nearly .40 a gallon in the last two weeks around here. From $1.67 to $2.04 in no time. Scumbags!

Well, I'd have to look at the figures, but crude has been on a good tear upwards recently. I wouldn't be surprised if it's up 20%. That correlates directly to the price of gasoline.

When the price of oil per barrel dropped around $27 and hung there and then RBOB Gasoline was at .94 a gallon, the price of a gallon of retail gas was still a big spread and declined very slowly. The moment oil and RBOB jumped, the stations couldn't raise gas fast enough.

Yes. I've explained why the drops and the increases in gasoline vary in speed a few times.

Always drops slowly to maximize profit, and rises quickly to maximize profit. It's very simple really.
