He's pretty much the roadmap for what you hope the Chiefs are doing with McKenzie - 7th round draft pick as an OG after playing exclusively DT in college. Managed to turn himself into a starter
as a rookie in his first season as an OL. Even started in the playoffs for them.
And now he's had 5 straight seasons as a full-time starter and has been a competent player that whole time. I'm sure he's being well compensated in that deal to boot.
Just a cool guy to root for. Obviously we'd have to be elated to see that kind of development from McKenzie.
