Drogon might get big, but Balerion was the biggest of the big, IIRC; seems pretty unlikely.

And ultimately we know that WWs can turn any creature, man or beast. An army of pissed off zombie eagles could probably fuck some stuff up pretty well. And I see no reason why they couldn't man arrows; they simply never had them. As they bring down more and more men and take their weapons, why couldn't they also take their bows, etc...?

Like I said, it just looks like the scales would tip way to far towards the Others if they got their own dragons.

We can agree then.

As it stands now, I'd imagine the dragons will make short work of the wights; but prior to Hardhome we hadn't really seen how effective the wights are in battle. They could easily show them manning bows and arrows and siege weapons and I don't think it'd be too farfetched. If they do, it'll likely be a much more "fair" fight.

Was that in the show as well? I can't remember.

So are the wights totally mindless? Couldn't the white walkers make it to the wall and then raise any of the dead behind the wall? If they aren't mindless....then they could easily go find the horn and blow it to destroy the wall.

That was a fake, according to Tormund.

I think it could be Zombie Mountain, given the episode's name: Mother's Mercy, but there is a group thinking it could be Lady SH. Mother's Mercy was a also a name for her.

It could also apply to Cersei and her famous walk after confessing. Maybe all the above?

The walk occurs just before we meet the new Mountain. That's what I think it will be. There is also talk about Shereen getting sacrificed due to her mother's loving attitude towards her.

I'm thinking her meeting with the dude from the Brotherhood without Banners gave her the info she needed to raise somebody.

I think that's Jon.
When did this happen? I missed it, apparently.

I figured she and Snow were done this season, since she went with Stannis. In the books, I was fairly confident she would give Snow the kiss of life.

I was thinking maybe they bring back Thoros of Myr or Donderrion for a one shot - they've made their way to the wall because of a vision of Thoros or something similar.

But it's hard to think of how Melisandre could have another scene with Snow this season.

Thoughts on big moments options for Episode 9:

Cersei's ultimate walk of shame (this one seems obvious)
ZombGregor reveal
Jon Snow betrayal (it seems like they've been setting this one up, with Ollie developments and Thorne still at Castle Black)

I think Lady Stoneheart is too obvious, and doubt Headey would have tweeted that if it actually was happening.

I think the big moment for episode 9 is Dany riding off on Drogon's back. It will also include Doran Martell sending the various sand snakes off on their missions like he does near the end of book 5. One to the small council, one to infiltrate the church, and perhaps one going to see Dany since there is no Quentyn in the show. In the books, there is also one at the Citadel in Oldtown, and Princess Arianne is off to find Aegon and see if he is the real deal. Doran is the spy master.

Episode 10 should cover Cersei's naked walk ending with zombie gregor carrying her into the red keep, and then whatever the show decides to do with Jon. I think they will leave a cliffhanger on Jon, so they won't show him being saved or resurrected this season....that's my guess.

Somewhere in these two episodes, we also need to see Arya kill someone, and whatever is going to happen with Ramsay going after Stannis with 20 men.

Should be two great episodes, I hope they deliver as well as they did in the last one, it was a great episode.

Carice Van Houten (actress who plays Melisandre) has said that she has another "big scene" with Jon this season.

Perhaps Stannis will send her away due to what she wants to do to Shireen?

It appears that the Walkers have a 'range'. I don't think TNK can just raise his hands and dead things from miles around rise - it does look like it's probably a fairly finite distance that the spells cover.

I would suspect that the 'magic in the walls' prevents that spell from getting through.
