So I'm eligible to upgrade my cell phone again August 1st. I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S2 through Sprint and was ready to get the S4. Now I see that LG is set to release their Optimus G2 sometime in August.
I guess it's now been confirmed that the Nexus 6 will start at $649 and there wont be a 5.2 inch model, they are just going to continue selling the Nexus 5. [Reply]
I can't imagine the person who thought that shit up kept their job.
"Got a great idea here! Let's make our first ever phone and compete against Apple, Samsung, HTC, LG, Motorola, etc... and then lets overprice it and make it exclusive to AT&T. Yes, this will sell millions!!!!!" [Reply]

This. If it was on Sprint I'd have tried it... [Reply]
So the wife has terrible eyes and has to wear reading glasses so she's been asking for a giant phone. Once I saw the pricing for the Nexus 6 I decided I'd let her try the OnePlus One and I'd take her Nexus 5.
I have two friends that have the OPO and they love it. We'll see how she does with it. At $350 I'm willing to roll the dice. If she hates it I can throw it on Ebay and get her another Nexus 5. [Reply]
The Moto Droid Turbo for Verizon is just a badass.
I sent my Moto X back for a refund and I'm hoping what I've read about an AT&T version of the Turbo called the "Moto X Play" is legit. Motorola is doing some kind of unveil on Nov. 5th. If it's the same phone with GSM bands then that's gonna be my next phone. [Reply]
Anyone heard anything about the S6? I'm going to be looking at a new phone here in the next couple of months (currently have a Note 2) and I'm trying to decide if I should go with the Note 4 or wait until the S6 comes out. [Reply]

I've only heard rumors that it should come with the 810 processor (64 bit) vs the 805 in the Note 4 (32 bit) and that it might come with some kind of retina scanner.
I'd hold out for the S6 if you held on to your phones for a good bit because of the 64 bit processor, otherwise I'd just get the N4. The S6 is still a good 6 months away from release. [Reply]

The way I've always felt about tech is that you should just get the best you can in the moment you are looking. If you continue to wait then you'll never buy because tech is outdated the instant after it's released. [Reply]
